A desire of traveling the entire world could come to an end in a shipwreck. Not for the family Wilcox. They have to reconstruct their boat on a far-off Pacific island if they are to win. They encounter difficult challenges during the rest of their journey, such as severe weather, pirates, gunboats, mines, and thieves, in addition to obnoxious bureaucrats and cockroaches that are just as obstinate as the family. The damage they received on the reef and a shortage of supplies haunt them.
